i'm okay, as long as you are okay

If i had to go through rough patches to be where i am today, i'm okay with that.

If this is the only period of time that defines what happiness means to me, i'm okay with that.

If happiness is in the form of seeing that smile, i'm okay with that.

If this is all that we will ever have in this lifetime, i'm okay with that.

I'm thankful to have lived this long to experience the good, the bad, the bittersweet, the struggle and the understanding.

I'm thankful to know that i'm able to feel again.

I'm thankful to know that i'm still capable of love.

Life is too short to be ungrateful, so i'm thankful.

Like how the sun never fails to set in the west,

like how the heart never fails to beat every second til your last breath,

like how some things never fail to seem alot better knowing you are around,

Like it never fails to be sure we can rule the world together like our favourite superheroes.
